Content will be king for Google

O conteúdo será rei para o Google

Google’s search algorithms have changed. Yes, again. This time, they’re trying to emphasize results created for humans as opposed to web pages designed with only SERP ranking in mind. In other words, those (sometimes slightly annoying) sites that are very effective at attracting traffic but poor in content are put on the back burner. In essence, Google is trying to replace quantity with quality.

Now, this will have SEO implications, as the company itself stated in the your blog. After all, the focus is now on content from people for people, so unoriginal and almost (or totally) robotic content is relegated to the background.

In other words, those who seek to educate themselves online or those who discover content related to art and entertainment, technology or even.. shopping (You couldn’t take away the commercial part, could you?).

Judging by Google’s statement, this change took effect last week and will mean that many of us will have already seen content of a higher quality than we had seen before.

It’s true that the effects of the change won’t be immediate. However, it’s worth taking a look at analytics to see if we’re in line with this or not.

As far as Up We Go is concerned, we believe so. After all, we have developed this type of content not only on the Up We Go website, but also on the Top4Geeks and Be4Game.

In addition to this change, Google has announced a new update to the review ranking process, which follows the change in focus of the google analyticsdesigned to offer a quality base and useful analysis of search results.

Taking all this into account, and also the fact that hell is full of good intentions, it can’t be said that Google isn’t doing its bit. After all, it’s living up to the phrase “content is king”.
