Bounce literally means to jump. It is common to use this expression in connection with:
- Websites – the user visits the website and leaves without clicking any buttons;
- Emailmarketing – happens when an email is rejected. There are 2 reasons for this:
- Hard Bounce: Permanent error, such as wrong email;
- Soft Bounce: Timerary error, e.g. inbox full or problem with the server.
